Job Description

Harbor Light Hospice is seeking a Community Liaison for the Indy area.

The Community Liaison is responsible for promoting and marketing hospice services to the customer, payer and target markets.  Meeting monthly admission goals, Territory Census goals, and new business development targets. Responsibilities include education of and direct communication with physicians, hospitals, long term care facilities, home health agencies, insurance companies, the general public and other potential referral sources as identified.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and delivers sales presentations to potential and existing customers.
  2. Develops Territory Marketing Plans
  3. Meets established territory admission goals as well as new business acquisition targets
  4. Resolves customer and service issues
  5. Maintains regular contact with existing customers, assessing on-going needs and relationships and responding to identified needs.
  6. Develops and/or modifies educational and promotional materials.
  7. Provides in-services on hospice related topics to current customers.
  8. Chairs interdisciplinary sales meeting, providing direction and leadership regarding sales/marketing activities.

    Job Requirements


    1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    2. Healthcare Sales Professional.  Experience in home health, hospice, DME equipment, or Long-term care required.
    3. Two year experience in health care sales and marketing.

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    1. Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing sufficient to prepare and send documentation/reports, and to interact with clients, staff and peers.
    2. Must show considerable initiative, judgment and organizational skills to work independently in an   unsupervised environment.
    3. Familiarity with the Hospice philosophy and regulations as appropriate to job responsibilities
